Routes you can take to get to Meronas by car:
From Chania: Once on the highway, turn right at the Amari junction (“Amari interchange”; beware of traffic works in the area). Follow the route Prasses – Pantanassa – Apostoli – Agia Fotini – Meronas. Distance from Chania 100 km/Average time 100’.
From Heraklion: Take the highway towards Rethymnon and exit it at the Amari junction ( “Amari interchange”). Follow the route Prasses – Pantanassa – Apostoli – Agia Fotini – Meronas. Distance from Heraklion 110 km/Average time 110’.
From Rethymno: Within the city drive towards Perivolia – Myssiria and take the National road (highway) directed to Heraklion. Exit it at the Amari junction by turning on the right (“Amari interchange”). Follow the route Prasses – Pantanassa – Apostoli – Agia Fotini – Meronas. Distance from Rethymno 36 km/Average time 40-50’.
From Messara: Follow the route Mires – Timbaki – Mantres – Fourfouras – Agia Fotini – Meronas. Distance from Mires 85 km/Average time 80-90’.
5.) From the Municipality of Agios Vasileios (Ag. Galini, Plakias, Spili, Preveli): you can follow the route Spili – Gerakari – Meronas. Distance from Spili 15 km/Average time 15-20'.
